BIO

Shannon Brown started his professional acting career in 1999 in Los Angeles, CA. He was fortunate to experience success rather quickly, booking an episode of NBC's hit sit com, Friends. Soon after that, he also booked an episode of FOX's sit com Action. As a result, Shannon was considered a "must join" and became a member of SAG very early in his career. Shannon was able to find consistent work in the LA market for the next four years. Although his career was on the upswing, Shannon was forced to move back to Chicago to deal with a family tragedy. Upon his return to his home market, Shannon put his acting career on hold with the intention of moving back to the west coast to pick up where he left off. Life happens and seven years later, Shannon was still in Chicago. In 2010, he couldn't put his passion on the back burner any longer. He got back into the business and did so with great vigor. Shannon is thrilled to be working consistently in his home town of Chicago, while also being based out of LA. He has worked all across the country in various markets. Shannon has starred in films that were shot in Chicago, LA, New York, Florida, Michigan and Arizona. Since his return in 2010, Shannon's resume features projects ranging from TV and commercials to short and feature films. One of his recent films recently enjoyed a national release in theaters, a financial thriller starring Minnie Driver, Frank Grillo, John Leguizamo and Maggie Q, among others, titled The Crash. Shannon was also cast as the lead in the other two features, Halloweed and Smothered by Mothers. He also had the opportunity to work with great talent in these two films, including Tom Sizemore, Danny Trejo, Burt Young, Heather Matarazzo, Simon Rex, Jason Mewes, Jim O'Heir, Alice Amter, Burt Young, Robert Craighead, Jamie Bernadette, Andy Milonakis and Ray Wise, among others. Kaveh Ryndak

Writer/Director

"It's hard to find someone who puts more time, effort and dedication into their character and the project as a whole, than Shannon does. You won't find many with that talent and still so humble. The last time I was on set with him, we broke for lunch and Shannon refused to eat until EVERY member of the crew got their food first. It's not often you see that from your lead actor."-

Phil Bogdan

Producer/Director

"Shannon is always a great presence on set. His commitment to a project goes beyond simply showing up and delivering lines. He commits to a project fully and his support never wavers. You get much more than a great actor, you get a great teammate too."

If he's not already in the middle of an exciting project, he's making it happen. It's no wonder that Shannon is the busiest working actor I know."-

"I've never seen an actor hone the craft of method acting as well as Shannon does. It's amazing to see him become the character as opposed to just playing the character."
